Interview Critique
When filming anything from a range of things such as movies or to things such as interviews the details normally always stay the same.
A well filmed interview should contain some details such as;
* Eye contact
* Camera angle
* Lighting (One of the main things)
* Sound (is another key factor which should be clear with no interference)
* Well organised camera work
* Editing that flows, and is quite easy to understand
I wasn't at the BBC trip, so I watched the other interviews. I gave some criticism,
I have just seen Cheyenne and Gina interview's, and I thought it was a mess at the beginning. The opening scene's were absolutely pointless, apart from them entering "a building", (BBC which wasn't stated quite as obviously as it should have been in the video)
My opinion is that they should talk about the coming interview and enter the BBC more obviously, The interview was well thought out everything to the camera angle to the sound, my only other criticism is that they forgot where the lighting was coming from. The person being interviewed was partly a silhouette, which probably wasn't the effect they wanted.
Good work....
Another group I saw was Kitty's and Yasmine's
Kitty (the interviewer) was quite intimidating and annoying to watch.
The main let down was the Lighting, It was an extremely disastrous, but simple mistake. That would have been easily avoided if known at the time. (just slipped there mind)...
The person getting interviewed was a complete silhouette, and unless the person getting interviewed wanted his identity to be protected - which was not the case, that was there biggest mistake.
Kitty's hair was popping in and out of the screen - If its in, it in, if its out, it's out...(simple)
But obviously this is not Kitty's fault, Kitty being the interviewer - It's all down to who's behind the camera, constantly checking everything to see if everything to do with that job is WAY MORE than perfect!
The Goods
*Use of cutaway
*Steady camera work (Tripod)
*Considered sound influences when they chose there locations.

And.. the not so Goods
*Background, not so well thought about.(The people getting interviewed were in silhouette, and unless they wanted the effect that its obvious to tell its a human figure, but not his/her identity features, which wasn't what they wanted-it was definitely the biggest failure)ALL LIGHT POURING IN FROM THE BACKGROUND.
*But apart from the obvious, its nothing but AMAZING!!!
